Wrapped up

If there’s anything the past week has thought me, it’s the art of layering. As a winter bride-to-be, I will most definitely be investing in a pretty wrap to keep me warm on the big day. Here are some of my favourite etsy finds for warm winter brides…

Amelia – White Dupioni Victorian Bridal Wrap $75.00 from Wedding Aisle. – I love the way this ties at the back, although it’s probably not the warmest of wraps it’s just so pretty.

Ivory faux fur jacket shrug bolero $69.99 from Alex Bridal. - This bolero is perfect for brides marrying in a winter wonderland – warm and elegant.

Ostrich Feather Shrug Jacket POA from The Wedding Dresser. – This shrug jacket is definitely not for shrinking violets, but it’s the type of garment that will, with care, be handed down from mother to daughter.

Ivory Faux Mink Stole $52.00 from Candace Designs. - Faking it is the only way to do fur, and this luxury stole is better than the real thing.

My friend went for a nice idea, quite by accident. She had a late summer wedding and it was freezing on the day. Her mother-in-law went up to the attic and found the admittedly goregeous hand knit wool shawl (in a nice ivory colour which matched the dress) that the groom had been christened in (they were having the wedding in the family back garden).
