This week I’ve really been concentrating on planning our own wedding – we’re nearly at the 6 month mark and I can’t believe it! It will soon be time for our engagement shoot…
Anyway, we all know that mood boards are a great way of gathering your ideas together and developing them into a coherent form – and again I come back to one of my favourite sites (now with its own iPod App) – Pinterest. I blogged about the site a few months ago, and since then it’s really taken off. You still need an invite to join, but if you would like one just leave me a comment and I’ll see what I can do *wink*.
The great thing about Pinterest is that you can track each photograph back to the original site it came from so you can contact or credit the source easily.
Here are a few of the boards I’ve been working on this past week…
I love the tones in this Coral and Champagne mood board – Coral is one hot colour this spring/summer, it’s a ladylike red without the vamp factor and it is complimented golden tones of champagne.
The 1950s was an era of looking forward. Some of the predictions may not have come into fruition, but the style which was then considered futuristic (and now considered retro) is so colourful and decorative and a really unique wedding theme.
The Quirk Factor is what really inspires this blog, and this pinboard is where I store all my little tidbits of inspiration for future use.
This Bridesmaids Moodboard has been so handy for me when scouting about for bridesmaid dresses… cause once you set foot in a shop there’s a wonderland of colours to choose from and that can sometimes be overwhelming. Here’s an example of a nice neutral silvery palette.
Have any of you any gorgeous pinboards you would like to share? Leave a comment! And even if you don’t, have a look at the ones others are linking to – time to share the inspiration, ladies!
