Boho-Belle Styled Shoot Inspiration
I’m never one to shy away from rich, bold colours and this gorgeous bohemian-inspired shoot by Melissa McCrotty Photography is oozing with Southern charm, the perfect antidote to the neon pastel trend that’s swept the high street in the past month or so. A floral headpiece, cabbage bouquet and statement necklaces combine...

Well. Where do I start! Today’s post is one that I’ve been dying to share with you and I’m very excited that I finally can – it’s Rohan aka Mr Joy and I’s engagement session.
Our theme was travel – we chose this cause Rohan and I love to get out there and explore, having already been around the world together once (well technically, halfway – Rohan came to Australia to take me home), and cheesy and all as it sounds we see our life together as a journey. Yup folks, stay tuned and who knows, it may even get soppier.
These photographs were taken on a beautiful August day by the wondrous White Tea Photography aka Noel and Aga, who took us on a whirlwind tour of wheat fields (before Rihanna ever set foot in one), forests, and even an industrial estate around West Dublin. Oh the legendary romance of the industrial estate!
I love how the photos are bursting with beautiful colours. We were delighted to be able to work with White Tea – they’ve been on our radar for a long time and I personally think their work is awesome and more than that they’re are great fun to hang around with, and that is an excellent trait to find in your common-or-garden rockstar photography duo.
We used one of these gorgeous wheat field photos on the cover of our wedding invitations.
Permission to land?
Oh, Noel and Aga had a time of it trying to get us out of our shells, that’s for sure.
And what do you take with you on a epic journey? A map, some music and a picnic!
I could go on about what a great experience having an engagement session is, how much fun we had with Aga and Noel, and give you tips on how to walk through a mucky field in high heels but I’m gonna let the photos speak for themselves.

Want to see some more? Head on over to White Tea’s website for even more photographs.

How gorgeous! Love the shots of you looking at the map & the shots in the field. Your floral print dress is lovely too! No wonder you’re both thrilled
Mr and ‘almost Mrs’ Joy in a sunny wheat field, pretending to be planes — love it! These photos are beautiful Lisa and full of happy emotions . It’s great to see you featured on your own blog too
Thanks so much Lisa and Rohan for choosing us to photograph the two of you. You were a whole lotta fun to work with and your styling ideas were great too! x
Love it! Guys, it’s so beautifully done, you look so natural together. Not long now.…
