Engagement Shoot Inspiration

When we booked our wedding photographer, Chris Nelson we got an unexpected bonus – an engagement session. I’d never even heard of engagement sessions before this (Chris was one of the first services we booked, not long after we got engaged).

But now I’m sort of looking forward to it… It won’t be for a while, maybe this time next year but I think it’ll be beneficial for us – to help us get used to having a camera pointed at us (there will be a lot of things we’ll have to hit the ground running on on the day of our wedding but this will not be one of them). Although anyone who’s seen our holiday snaps from Madame Tussaud’s in New York would argue we won’t need any practice in that department anyway!

Ashley Sturm is one of my favourite American Wedding Photographers in the blogosphere. I came across this lovely, simple engagement session on her blog recently.

AND we the park is right next door to the Criminal Courts of Justice… Romantic, no?

Overall, I would be happy just to be this happy in the photos… and happy ever after!

Ohhhh they look so happy!!!!Love these pics, must talk to our photographer again about our engagement shoot, would love to do it outside!

  2. Don’t you find a huge height difference make taking good photos a nightmare? The best one of us is kneeling, believe it or not! Can’t wait to see how you get on. This is a really cute shoot.

    • I must just be used to the height difference now cause I don’t really notice it any more believe it or not! I’ll remember your tip about kneeling down for the day of our shoot though, thanks ;)
