This is the time of year when we all start to hear those weather rumors “You know, they say this Christmas is going to be even snowier than 2010″, etc… Whether or not the most famous weather-predicting snowman in Donegal is right (he reckons we’re in for a white one alright), it’s time to take the woolies down from their summer hiding place (if you haven’t already), and here’s a very cute shoot to inspire you from the lovely Laurelyn Savannah Photography which she put together with the help of some local vendors in Milwaukee. It was her first styled shoot and we reckon it’s a triumph. The candycane cake pops and cupcakes will have you hankering for something freshly baked and a nice cup of hot chocolate.
“I wanted to use the colors aqua and ruby because they stand out so well against the milk glass and the snow. This beautiful Gothic-Revival style house was perfect for the photo shoot because it provided the white backdrop that I desperately wanted to use – the Kilbourntown House in Estabrook Park. In the end, I also ended up purchasing some fake snow (“SnowReal” brand) from a local nursery and landscaping business to make the concept come alive a bit more, since we have gotten record lows of snow this winter and there was none on the ground.”
