Snuggle up warm folks, cause this Elegant Hay Loft Inspiration shoot is snowy and gorgeous, with oodles of quirky inspiration. I don’t feature a lot of styled shoots on the blog but this one I really couldn’t pass up as it ticks all the boxes – elegant, warm, and more than a little bit kooky (check out the bodycon striped bridesmaid dresses).
This wee gem comes in from Erin Johnson Photography and was styled by Carly from Girl Friday. Erin says, “I asked Carly to set-up an inspiration shoot. I told her I just wanted to show up and be suprised. Well, I was suprised alright!”
“Carly hung a 9ft story banner between dark brown curtains. We centered the table on the banner and dressed it with a steely-lavendar pintuck table cloth.”
Meet Hank – he’s the gorgeous pug that appears as a motif on the wedding stationery. What a great way to include your favourite furry friend in your big day.
Who says succulents are only for summer weddings (not me, I had them in my bouquet at my November wedding to Mr. Joy). I love how all the random elements combine – a white floral arrangement dotted with succulents and dogwood, stiped candles, vintage mis-matched china and silverware and heavy bold fonts. Sounds like it shouldn’t work but it really does.
Button badges and bakers twine – a modern twist on the traditional escort card. “The escort cards were strung up on old birdcage stands. Every escort card has a personalized button for each guest and the table number and book title to help them find their seat.”
The RSVP offers guests the chance to “enthusianticlly decline” or check a box that says, “think you’re just out for the gift.”
With thanks to Two Bright Lights.
