Here at Bride and Joy we pride ourselves on finding the quirkiest and the most unusual wedding trends, and we love nothing more than when we find it on our own shores. And thanks to the lovely Lisa O’Dwyer, we have just that sort of wedding to share with you today.

Tara and Liam’s wedding is an eclectic sampling of the best contemporary Ireland has to offer.
I think this is where the saying ‘Arriving in style’ comes from… The Peterbilt American truck was hired from All American Ads – definitely a little something different from your average limo or vintage car. Love it!
Kildare woman Tara is an avid horserider – here she is with her beautiful horse MinisterForFun. Kildare is at the heart of Ireland’s equine industry and I love how Tara has worked her passion for these beautiful animals in to her wedding photos.
What a gem of a hotel – the Lord Bagenal in Carlow. It houses a large collection of works by cutting edge Irish Artists such as Paul Doran and Paul Mosse, British Artists Tai-Shan Schierenberg and David Blackburn. They also have original porcelain from China’s Ming and Qing periods on display. Amazing items to feature as a backdrop to your wedding, don’t you think?
Best wishes to Tara and Liam for the future, and thank you to Lisa O’Dwyer for sharing these fabulous photographs.
