Autumn and Adam are both artists, and their DIY Day After Session showcases all the special touches their creativity brought to their big day. Lots of their friends are creatives too, and they all chipped in together to help make the day memorable, and helping the couple to cut expenses.
Fancy a peek at some kick-ass DIY projects? I thought you might…
First off, there’s this fabulous handmade ribbon curtain back drop which the couple made for the photos.
They also utilized handmade miniatures, created by the groom himself, one portraying an artist painting a vision of his love in which all he sees is love…
….and another airplane with a banner combining their two last names “just to be silly”, says gorgeous bride Autumn.
Autumn’s interior designer cousin Peggy Wolfe-Jones, of Artasy Design Collective brought life to the space, creating the bouquets, boutineers, and floral arrangements.
As this is a day after session, not all the details are shown but they did have some other really quirky ideas, like a personalized mad libs guest book, and an incredible homemade dessert bar made by both the mammys, and Adam’s dad made refreshing white wine sangria.
So, what advice would Autumn give to brides-to-be who are currently planning their wedding?
“In the end, no matter what you do, someone is going to be unhappy or unimpressed with how you have chosen the celebrate your union. Remember that a wedding is a celebration and it should be memorable and fun for both you and your future spouse. Don’t let other people and their ideas of what your wedding day needs to be stress you out! No, you don’t have to invite all 500 of your closest Facebook friends or buy a 5 tier wedding cake! Make decisions that make sense for you as a couple.”
