Although people have been getting married for thousands of years, it’s fair to say that weddings have moved with the times. You can imagine my delight when this gem from Live View Studios dropped into my inbox.
It was the game’s popularity that inspired Anna from Live View Studios:
“When the idea came to us, we looked and found a few groom’s cakes and details based on the game but nothing that incorporated it as an overall wedding theme. With Angry Birds being with one of the top 10 apps ad with 1 billion downloads as of May this year, we thought, why not create a wedding inspiration from the game, using elements creatively instead of basing it only on the characters?”
The natural elements of stone/brick, glass, wood and feathers compliment the primary colour palette of the game and the vendors created ‘Passion Takes Flight’ – a wedding shoot with wedding with slingshot pens, tumbled concrete structures, a gold crown & golden eggs, a treasure chest for notes written by guests, and more.
And kudos for the beautiful and inventive ceremony area backdrop of ombre origami birds.
“The cake was a work of art on it’s own, with the bottom tier featuring a hand painted grass design, & the top tier embossed with a brick texture.”
“The bouquets and boutonnières had a very organic feel, with feathers, vivid pops of color, and twine wrapping. Our flower girl dropped feathers down the aisle from a birds nest, wearing an incredible gold crown.”
