And The Bride Wore Cowboy Boots-16

…And the Bride Wore Cowboy Boots

This blog is all about getting wed your own way, and this is exactly what Nikki and Barrett did, in Montana’s Red Lodge. In the winter it’s a haven of snowboarding and skiing, but on July 14 it was the perfect green setting for a rustic wedding with a country twist as photographer Kat Skye recalls:

“Nikki is a Montana girl and cow girl boots are her staple accessory. She treated her bridesmaids to a day of shopping for their own pair of boots and unique blue dress. The groomsmen all had handmade boutonnieres made out of flowers and fishing wire”

Rain forced the ceremony inside the reception tent, but once it passed it was a beautiful afternoon and there was even some lightening later on.

Nikki and Barrett delegated lots of tasks for the wedding – Nikki’s mom put together all the tables in the reception and they hired their friends to cook all the very delicious ribs in their smoker on the venue property.

“It was a great down to earth rustic Montana wedding with lots of comforting food and beer to satisfy everyone.”
